New Leadership within Broaddus

Broaddus is pleased to announce two new personnel changes within the companies.  Greg Hughes, AIA, has been named the Managing Principal of Broaddus Planning.  He was previously working in our Houston office on our healthcare project management team.  He has 35 years of significant experience in planning, design and project management.  For the past 6 years, Greg served as a Principal, Healthcare Market Sector Leader and Senior Medical Planner for PBK Architects following 4 years in a similar role for Perkins+Will in Houston, Texas.  He spent 18 years with Page Southerland Page in Houston, rising through the firm in such roles as Partner, Vice President, Director of Healthcare and Senior Medical Planner.  He also served as Senior Director of Architecture at Charter Medical Corporation in Macon, Georgia.   
Greg holds a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Design, both from Texas A&M University.  He is a registered architect and registered interior designer in the State of Texas and is a LEED Accredited Professional.  He served twice as Chairman of the Houston Chapter of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health and is a founding member of the American College of Healthcare Architects.  
Additionally, Rick Johnson has joined our leadership staff as Central Texas Area Manager.    Rick brings over 32 years of experience in the r eal estate development and construction industries with expertise in hospitality, healthcare, high-rise office and student housing.  Most recently, Rick served as Vice President for Satterfield and Pontikes Construction, managing operations in the Central Texas region.  Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Collegiate Development Services, where he managed development, preconstruction and construction for the national student housing developer.  Rick began his career at Centex Construction, where he spent 23 years advancing through the company ranks to serve in such roles as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, President, and Chief Executive Officer.
Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He serves on the board of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center, where he was President from 2007-2008.
