Broaddus Planning was engaged to provide pre-design services to scope the size and cost of a high-level biosafety research laboratory for a confidential client. The complexity of this type of facility requires overlaying of not only each individual room requirements but also, precise security processes and entry-gowning-work processes-and exiting from the facility. Consideration for the handling of hazardous materials and animal care were an integral part of the programming.
