MASTER PLANNING

Mississippi Healthcare Industry Zone Planning

Broaddus Planning worked in communities across the state of Mississippi to create “Healthcare Industry Zone Plans” that empower local leaders to capitalize on a state-wide healthcare economic development initiative instigated by Governor Phil Bryant. As a result of the 2012 Healthcare Industry Zone Act, cities across the state can qualify for economic development incentives by completing a Health Care Industry Zone Plan and meeting certain other criteria spelled out in the legislation. These plans seek to serve the local community by leveraging this initiative into attracting healthcare industry development, creating jobs, and improving both access to and quality of healthcare.

Broaddus Planning takes a pioneering and comprehensive approach to Healthcare Zone Planning, beginning with community stakeholder involvement. Our firm brings together leaders in healthcare, city and county government, local and regional economic development, and other community leaders to gather input on each plan, and build awareness of the potential impact this can have on the community.
