Broaddus Planning was reengaged to provide a facility program for the first building of Tarleton State University’s new Fort Worth campus. Walton International Group donated an 80-acre parcel of land adjacent to the Chisolm Trail Parkway in Southwest Fort Worth to the university.

The first building was the multipurpose academic building planned as the anchor facility on the high point of the site where two green spaces intersect. The multipurpose academic building was programmed to become a vibrant hub of learning and foster comradery and school spirit among faculty, staff, and students. The facility hosts approximately 3,000 students, which is double the existing enrollment.
