MASTER PLANNING

The Medical Center of the Americas (MCA) Biomedical Research and Technology Park Master Plan

The Medical Center of the Americas (MCA) Biomedical Research & Technology Park Master Plan provides the foundation for the long term growth of a vibrant, urban, state-of-the-art research park at the healthcare and life science hub of the Paso del Norte region—the MCA Campus in El Paso, Texas. The master plan illustrates the long range, visionary development potential for the MCA Tech Park while also addressing the near-term implications for the first building, an 80,000 square foot Biomedical Research and Technology Center (BRTC).

As a hallmark of the master planning process, the MCA and its planning consultant, Broaddus Planning, worked collaboratively with the City of El Paso Planning and Economic Development Department to generate a physical master plan that fits within the City’s existing planning policies, including the Smart Code, and adhere to the future planning trajectory of the city as a vibrant, attractive urban environment.
